A great little book for the holidays. This spanking cowboy romance has all the thrills, sex and spills that the other books in this series have, wrapped up in a page turner just the right length for the busy Christmas season. I read it overnight, and will probably read it again. A heroic cowboy who discovers his initial attraction to a girl in his bar is mutual, and finds himself embroiled in a drama. She's as spunky and brilliant as this author's other heroines, traits I love in female characters, and he knows just how to make it all work. A true Christmas treat.
It love at first site, but several obstacles get in the way. Connor has been waiting for the mysterious woman to return, but the trouble she brought back with her was unexpected... April is on the run from some bad guys & turns to the only place she felt comfortable in this small town. Connor is more than willing to help her even though it brings danger to his doorstep.
Even though it did feel like there was too much going on in such a short time frame, it was a fun, quick read.
I loved this engrossing story of two characters that seemed to be destined to meet. That they meet on Christmas Eve made it even more intriguing. There was danger, suspense, mystery, hot sex, hot spanking (pun intended) romance and more. Excellent read.
From the first chapter I could easily imagine the lone, love-struck cowboy, and when the woman he’s been dreaming about unexpectedly returns to his bar, he suddenly finds himself embroiled in quite a drama. The young lady in question turns to him for help because she has no-one else, and he doesn’t let her down. Their chemistry sizzles off the page, and the book takes you on a fun, sexy ride to a surprisingly wonderful HEA. Great read, Christmas or not.
